About
The group of people comprising the TLC is the Rensselaer teaching community, led by a board of faculty advisors. The goals of the TLC board are:
- To cultivate an Institute-wide culture of pedagogical excellence and encourage innovation in teaching and learning.
- To host workshops that share teaching best practices, introduce emerging instructional technologies, and foster meaningful discussions about pedagogy.
- To encourage and support faculty teams pursuing external funding for research on pedagogical innovations.
- To identify and support promising seed projects focused on teaching and learning innovation.
- To promote the development of collaborative proposals that advance interactive and engaged learning.
The TLC board is led by our Vice Provost and comprised of Rensselaer faculty members committed to pedagogical innovation. Members of the board serve staggered 3-year terms.
